Benzodiazepine Effects: Produces typical benzodiazepine effects, including sedation, relief from anxiety, muscle relaxation, and anticonvulsant properties. It also causes significant drowsiness and cognitive impairment.

Adverse Effects: Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, impaired motor coordination, and memory problems. Severe effects can include respiratory depression, especially when combined with other CNS depressants like alcohol or opioids.
